The successful applicant will be required to install, maintain and remove battery-operated security solutions for our clients. This position is a lone-working and highly rewarding role enabling you to give peace of mind to people and communities, every day. Your role will be based in the following sectors: construction, energy, utilities, rail, retail, government and law enforcement and vacant properties.

What’s expected of you?

  • Installation and commissioning of security solutions.
  • Communicate successfully with site managers and DeterTech ARC to ensure all information is passed on successfully.
  • Maintaining all areas where current site security solutions are deployed by conducting battery maintenance, camera reconfiguration, cleaning and servicing.
  • Ensure there is a low chance of false triggers during installation and maintenance.
  • Be responsible for ensuring all equipment, parts and spares are loaded into your business vehicle ahead of all appointments.

Is this the job for me?

This is a fast-paced environment, and we need someone with a proven track record and a hunger for success. You will:

  • Have three-years hands-on experience in a field engineer role or similar.
  • Be experienced in either telecoms, satellite, electronics, gas and electrics or have an engineering background.
  • Have CSCS and H&S training.
  • Have knowledge of wiring/electronics/soldering, and experience in alarm installations is desirable but not essential.

The Role

DeterTech is seeking an experienced engineer to join its expanding engineering team in Telford. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design of our award-winning, high-volume, remote security products.

DeterTech has a significant number of major customers in the security sector and an exciting roadmap of projects to be involved in. You may be asked to travel around the UK and occasionally to our other offices in Europe.

As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will play a key part in our highly-regarded engineering team based in Telford. DeterTech manufactures a range of products.

DeterTech is constantly striving to improve our product lines for our customers and these goals for excellence are focused on high-quality engineering. As such, you will perform continuous improvement to our existing products. You will be involved in all stages of the production, design and manufacturing lifecycle where you will be able to grow and expand your current experience.

What's expected of you?

  • Be responsible for designing and supporting future new products into mass production.
  • Take on board requirements specifications and create electrical/electronic designs.
  • Choose electrical/electronic components, design schematics and layout the designs.
  • Manage the full design life cycle. i.e. Get prototype boards made, tested to the specification and adjust as needed.
  • Hands-on electrical testing of designs produced.

Is this job for me?

  • Degree qualification minimum
  • 5+ years of industry minimum experience
  • Full design cycle experience – concept to manufacture/new product introduction
  • Proven track record of hardware design is essential.

The Role

The successful applicant will be required to support project leaders with administration duties, ensuring critical activity is completed to project milestones and in line with legal/regulatory requirements and department frameworks.

This position requires you to manage a busy workload with high productivity. Successful candidates will be able to act calmly under pressure.

What's expected of you?

  • Producing project documentation for relevant approval processes
  • Managing project budgets
  • Project milestone tracking and reporting
  • Extensive diary management - keeping an overall view of the diary, scheduling internal and external meetings
  • Taking minutes during meetings and distribute tasks to team members to action if applicable.

Is this job for me?

  • 1+ years’ experience in a project administration / coordination role
  • 1+ years’ experience managing project budgets
  • Experience of MI reporting
  • High level of Computer Literacy with the ability to grasp tech applications with ease

What’s expected of you?

DeterTech is seeking a confident and enthusiastic commercial executive to join our growing sales team. The Lead Generator will be responsible for generating and confirming qualified leads to pass onto our sales teams and convert to appointments. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and a confident communicator, comfortable in a telesales role. They will support the sales teams by providing customer and market research and analysis and maintain excellent customer relationships. As well as representing the company and its solutions, the Lead Generator will be able to deal with complaints effectively and appropriately to ensure we maintain customer satisfaction and learn from any mistakes.

What's expected of you?

  • Prospecting, generating, qualifying, processing, and following up on leads and appointment setting for external sales team
  • Collaboratively work with the sales, marketing team and operations to generate lead opportunities with prospective customers
  • Effectively communicate and present the DeterTech solution and value proposition to customers Providing consistent, concise, accurate and timely weekly/monthly sales lead gen activity reports to management 
  • Achieving sales lead generator and appointment quotas.

Is this job for you?

This position requires you to manage a busy workload with high productivity. Successful candidates be able to effectively communicate the value of the company's products and services to potential clients. You will have:

  • 2+ years’ experience with lead generation and marketing automation software including proficiency in Salesforce is highly desirable
  • Proven track record achieving sales lead generation and appointment quotas
  • Ability to multi-task daily projects and commitments and employ structured selling methods is required proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
