Jiten Lad.

Jiten Lad is Business Development Director at DeterTech, with a focus on building strategic partnerships within the retail sector across the UK and Europe. He brings a wealth of commercial experience from a career spanning food retail, DIY and merchanting, having worked with major brands including Somerfield, M&S Simply Food and Homebase.

Jiten’s journey began in store operations, progressing from Store Manager to Multisite Manager, Regional Manager and Project Manager – opening new stores nationwide. In 2016, he moved into loss prevention, becoming Regional LP Manager at Homebase before taking on a divisional role supporting the company’s turnaround.

In 2021, Jiten joined the Travis Perkins Group, where he led security and loss prevention for its specialist brands. With over 29,000 colleagues across 2,000 sites, TP is the UK’s largest distributor of building materials and a major FTSE 250 company. In 2023, he moved to Central England Co-op to head up the People & Profit Protection function, delivering impactful projects to reduce stock loss and improve colleague safety. In 2024, Jiten and his team were highly commended at the Retail Risk Fraud Awards for their collaborative work with MPs and local police.
