DeterTech is pleased to announce it is a finalist for the ‘Most Innovative Security Project’ at the BSIA British Security Awards 2023.
DeterTech won the same award in 2022 for its ground-breaking partnership with South Yorkshire Police to tackle domestic violence against women and girls. This year’s nomination recognises DeterTech’s innovative collaboration with the retailer Superdrug to deter smash and grab attacks on perfume counters across the UK.
Superdrug approached DeterTech with a specific need to protect its perfume counters, which were vulnerable to out-of-hours thefts. DeterTech responded by developing a mobile solution that effectively deters intruders while ensuring minimal disruption to staff during the day. The solution combines DeterTech's visually verified PID Compact CCTV intruder detection systems, SmartWater forensic marking solutions, and a third-party fogging system into a unique and simple-to-install package.
